I am horrible at keeping a journal. All the time I think to myself, I am going to wish I would have written things down because I never want to forget all of our great memories. Therefore, I am starting this blog to serve as a journal for my cute husband and I as we journey on through life.
I guess you could say we are newlyweds. We have been married for about a year and a half. May 27, 2011 was the happiest day of my life so far and I am so thankful to have my sweet husband! We live in Ogden, Utah and both currently work at McKay Dee Hospital. We are both in school at Weber State University. Derek is in the Medical Laboratory Science program preparing for grad school to become either a Physician's Assistant or MD, we haven't quite made that decision yet. I am a Communications major studying Public Relations and Advertising. We are both unbelievably busy and some days we only see each other first thing in the morning and not again until we are getting ready for bed. We try to remember that this busyness is only temporary, and one day we will be thankful for all of our hard work.
Derek really enjoys school and studies his little heart out. He loves fast cars and likes to zip around in his Subaru. He loves fishing and riding his beloved Cannondale when he has spare time. I love playing a lot more than school and work, and look for every opportunity to peel Derek away from his books and convince him to take me to the movie. We have amazing families who we always have fun spending time with.
I am so thankful to be where I am in life, and have so many things that make me happy each day. Mostly this guy:
